Crystal Lake, IL- His nickname is Big Trev. After meeting Trevor Keegan, I understand how he came by that moniker. Keegan, 6’6″/ 275 lbs, is a freshman at Crystal Lake South HS and plays DE/OL for the Gators. He started all ten games for head coach Chuck Ahsmann. Oh, did I say he was a freshman? I did. Keegan is big and young. Ahsmann brings back his QB (Luke Nolan, Jr.), his RB’s (Kyle Leva, So. & Mike Swiatly, Jr.), OL (Big Frank Harenza, Jr., Enok Dragon, So. & Taylor Beckwith, So.), WR’s (Matt Meyers, Jr. & Blake Kuffel, So.), just to name a few. This Gators “O” will be running on high octane in 2016.
Listen below as Keegan tells us what he thinks about his Gators’ chances in next years new/old Fox Valley Conference rumble. His future aspirations, family, friends, coaches and teachers are also discussed. Though only a freshman, Big Trev is mature for his age and it shows in our interview. bergsworld.live appreciates the time TK spent with us and look forward to watching him and his fellow Gators lace ’em up in the fall.
PS: Gators fans don’t be angry with Big Trev’s role model, even if he went to Cary-Grove HS before heading to The University of Notre Dame!
Gators Stuff: Keegan was named to the 2015 Maxpreps All-American Freshman Team.
Gators Stuff: Ahsmann and his Gators look to return to the IHSA play-offs for the second year in a row.
